Surgery.Aesthetic surgery is performed to improve your
appearance and self-esteem by reshaping or enhancing normal areas of the face, including
the nose, mouth, cheeks, jaw, or chin, or to pin back protruding ears. This area of our
practice also includes adding permanent eyeliner to enhance the eyes and reduce the amount
of time that you spend in applying makeup.
To determine whether you are a good
candidate for aesthetic surgery, we suggest that you consider whether a change in your
appearance will allow you to lead a happier, healthier and more vibrant lifestyle -- one
in which you can face the world with increased confidence and less self-consciousness
about your appearance.
Procedures
Performed:
Ear
Surgery
Most commonly performed on children between the ages of four and 14, otoplasty can pin the
ears back to lay flatter against the head. Since ears are almost fully grown by the age of
four, performing this surgery as early as possible can reduce the loss of self-esteem
associated with childhood teasing and self-consciousness. The surgery can be performed at
any time, though, and many adults find that the procedure greatly increases their
satisfaction with their appearance. Besides protruding ears, surgery can correct a variety
of other ear problems including stretched or oversized earlobes, "lop ear," when
the tip appears to fold down and forward; "cupped ear," which is usually appears
to be a very small ear; and "shell ear," when the curve in the outer rim or
other natural folds and creases are missing.
Facial Implants
Facial Implants and lip augmentation can be used to improve and enhance facial contours
and to provide a more harmonious balance to your face. There are many different materials
and types of implants available, including implants to strengthen a jawline, to make the
chin more prominent, and to enhance cheekbones. Lip Enhancement can increase the size of
small or thin upper or lower lips, giving a more full appearance.
Nasal
Surgery
Surgical reshaping of the nose is one of the most common of all plastic surgery
procedures. Nasal surgery can diminish or increase the size of your nose, alter the shape
of the bridge or tip, reduce the span of the nostrils, or alter the angle between your
nose and your upper lip. It can also correct a birth defect or injury, and help to relieve
some types of breathing problems.
Permanent Cosmetics
Permanent cosmetics can increase your confidence while providing a natural look
and providing time-saving convenience. Permanently applies cosmetics won't smudge, smear,
or wash off, and remains intact even for individuals with oily skin. If you have allergies
to conventional make-up, have limited hand movement, poor eyesight, or contact lenses, you
may greatly benefit from the application of permanent cosmetics. Permanent cosmetic
options include permanent eyeliner, eyebrow enhancement, lip tinting or lip lining, and
scar camouflage techniques.
Spider-Vein Treatment
At least half of the adult female population has "spider-veins", an
unsightly and often uncomfortable condition. Treatment for this problem usually involves a
simple procedure in which the veins are injected with a solution that causes them to
collapse and fade. The treatment often provides the added benefit of relieving common
symptoms associated with spider veins, including aching, burning, night cramps, and
swelling.
